What is Agritourism?

Many farms are located outside big cities or even within their territorial limits, and allow visitors to experience the countryside or even just to acquire speciality foods or meals with minimal travel from urban areas and the possibility of stopping for even just a few hours.
Near cities it is easier to find educational farms, where families and school groups can find a wide range of services that include educational workshops, company visits, school-oriented gardens and orchards, and hands-on gardening or participation in agricultural activities.
In some cases, farms have specialized activities for small children (agri-daycare) or even personalized farming activities that cater to the disabled or elderly, or tourists requiring special care or services.
